Sustainable purchasing
Doing responsible business means purchasing sustainably. Strukton has signed the Leidende principes convenant (Guiding principles agreement), which forms the basis for a socially responsible purchasing policy in the construction sector and Strukton prefers to do business only with suppliers that support our CSR objectives. Sustainable purchasing ensures that the environment and everyday surroundings are impacted by our projects as little as possible.

Sustainable forestry
An example of our view of CSR is the FSC-convenant (Forest Stewardship Council agreement) to increase the share of FSC wood used, which Strukton did not sign. For years we have worked with wood from Scandinavia, where sustainable forestry practices began fifty years ago, whereas the FSC label is awarded to plantations in which trees are now being planted to replace trees that were 50 to 80 years old.
