UTRECHT, 10 January 2012 –  Strukton Civiel bv and Ooms Avenhorn Group bv have reached a final agreement on the takeover of Ooms Nederland Holding Company bv, following the press release issued on 14 October 2011.

The following operations will be taken over: the groundwork, road building and hydraulic engineering operations, the Dutch consultancy operations (Unihorn) and part of the non-Dutch infrastructure operations within Ooms International Holding Company. They will form a separate business unit within Strukton Civiel.

The effective takeover date is 1 January 2012. Ooms Nederland Holding Company bv employs approximately 350 employees.

The takeover fits in with Strukton’s strategy of focusing on widening and deepening its activities in the supply chain. This takeover bolsters Strukton’s infrastructure operations and its position in this market by giving Strukton nationwide coverage.

The current directors and shareholders will continue to manage the operations remaining with Ooms, which now fall under the Ooms Avenhorn Holding Company. These operations include the companies Ooms Bouwmaatschappij and De Peyler Projektontwikkeling.
